AeroVault™ – Smart Aluminum-Frame Carry-On

This is a lightweight, fairly plasticky carry-on, but it has held up well and has some genuinely good features that set it apart. Instead of a zipper, it uses buckles to close, which feels more secure. The handles on the sides and top are hard plastic with springs in them so they stay flush when you're not using them, and they're much nicer to grip than the typical fabric pull-tabs. The rolling handle is multi-level, the wheels roll smoothly, and at least two of them have locks so the bag doesn't roll away from you when you set it down. Standard carry-on size and standard carry-on function inside. It also has a few extras that I didn't expect to care about but ended up appreciating. There's a spot for an internal battery (you supply your own) with pass-through ports on the outside in both USB-C and USB-A, though the connection to the battery itself is USB-A. There's a cup holder, which sounds silly, but if you're sitting in the airport with a coffee in one hand and your phone in the other, it turns out to be incredibly handy. The external compartment with its own separate lock is useful for a laptop or anything you need to grab without opening the main bag, and it's noticeably smaller than the same compartment on competing bags, so you're not giving up much packing space for it. Overall, it feels lightweight and almost cheap when you first pick it up, but it has proven durable in use, and at this weight that tradeoff is worth it.

This suitcase has a lot of little features that make traveling easier. It has a fold-out cup holder on the side. It seems like a small thing, but when you're standing in line at the airport or waiting at the gate, it's surprisingly handy. I also really like the front compartment for a laptop or tablet. I was able to fit my 13" laptop in there, although it was a pretty snug fit. Because of that, it feels like the compartment might be better suited for tablets, but it still worked for me. The inside is laid out nicely too. It opens in a clamshell design with two separate compartments, and both sides have zippered covers that help keep clothes in place when opening it. Everything stays organized and in place. The wheels roll very smoothly and quietly, and the handle extends and retracts without any sticking. It feels easy to maneuver through the airport. The hard shell also seems durable and sturdy enough to handle abuse. It also has built in TSA locks. The quality seems good, it rolls great, and the extra conveniences like the cup holder and front laptop compartment help it stand out from a lot of other suitcases. The price seems a little high but if you are able to use the coupon, the price seems a lot better.

This item was packed very well and came with a dust bag. It fit alot a little more than the average carryon. I will update this review once I have used it for the plane. The handle is self leveling, meaning that when you move it, it will go right back to how ot should be laying flat and levwlwd. This is better than I thought it was going to be. Will add to my review of how it held up in the airport.
